Our world is undergoing significant changes and we need to adapt to new realities in terms of knowledge, society and education. Technology has fundamentally transformed our conception of community and the way we interact with each other. Therefore, building individual networks for learning and support becomes more crucial than ever. The Erasmus+ project ‘DICIPASS4YOUTH: European Digital Citizenship Pass for Youth Empowerment and Participation’ brings together experienced partners from Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Cyprus, Belgium and Spain with the aim of rethinking the way we learn, work and connect.
The project proposes the following objectives: Increase the capacity of social workers to use innovative resources to promote the competence and values of digital citizenship among young people with fewer opportunities. Raise awareness and enrich the skills of young people to address delicate ethical issues in their daily lives, make wise decisions regarding their personal data, rights and respect, among others. Increase the capacity of young people with fewer opportunities to express their opinions, participate and access the digital world with dignity and respect. To achieve these objectives, the project will focus on: Supporting social workers to adopt a positive attitude towards digital citizenship. Promote the development of responsible, ethical and global citizens in the context of a digitalized and connected world. Establish the DICIPASS 4 YOUTH program and the Code of Conduct as a binding agreement between youth organizations, social workers and young people. Try the DICIPASS CHALLENGE PROGRAM, where young people face various challenges to obtain the DICIPASS4YOUTH BADGE, which demonstrates excellence in digital citizenship values, knowledge, skills and understanding. Offer opportunities for the acquisition of digital citizenship skills among social workers, thus strengthening their profiles and improving the quality of work with young people.
