Reus, Our city

Reus is the capital of the baix camp in the province of tarragona, catalonia, spain. The area has always been an important producer of wines and spirits and it is known as the birthplace of architect antoni gaudi, the place where the world-famous architect grew up and went to school before leaving for barcelona and, therefore, deemed to be the cradle of modernism. Some of his closest colleagues and assistants also came from the same town, including the architects joan rubió i bellver, Domènec sugranyes and francesc berenguer, as well as some of gaudi’s clients.
