The project “Inclusive Intergenerational Dance” aims to help older people to access educational materials that are useful to them.

The topic of the project is important from the point of view of the objectives and priorities of Action – EA.
Adult learning and open education have become key elements in Europe. Partner organisations show great interest in intergenerational arts practices and inclusive intergenerational group dance.

There is a need to move away from traditional models of adult education towards intergenerational education without age differentiation.

Project objectives

  • Objective 1.Increasing educational diversity and the use of an integrative form, in particular group intergenerational dance.
  • Objective 2 – Staff equipment adult education in the competences needed to involve people with fewer opportunities.
  • Objective 3–Inclusion the intergenerational dimension in the educational context of the countries involved in the project.

Project Results

Reports illustrating the integrative role of intergenerational group dance in the partner countries: in Ireland: Irish dance, in Hungary: Hungarian group dances, in Spain: the Sardana, in Turkey: dances from the Antalya region, in Poland dances from the Silesian region.
The “Intergenerational Inclusive Dance Group”, a practical tool that will be useful in the work of adult educators.
The collaborative production of a DVD film, which presents examples of good practice in intergenerational dance (ID).
